The next time you are in Seward, to board a cruise ship or to just spend the day, consider taking The Real Alaska Tour….a truly unique Alaskan experience.

This full day package features all the attractions that truly make Alaska the Greatland. First, take in the fascinating history and breathtaking beauty as your guide shows you the sights of Seward. Experience the unique local color of "Alaska's Little Switzerland" and learn why Seward was known as "the Gateway to Alaska" and "Mile 0" of the Iditarod Trail. See first-hand the effects of the 1964 Earthquake and stand in awe of the mountain that is home to the second oldest foot race in the United States.

Then, head out to Exit Glacier, a major attraction of Kenai Fjords National Park. Enjoy a short walk along the nature trail that takes you to the face of the glacial ice. Watch for mountain goats, moose or bear on the mountainside. During the salmon runs, see salmon swimming upstream to spawn. A hearty lunch will be served at nearby Resurrection Roadhouse (yummm! Great batter fried fish!) before you travel to the Seavey homestead (home of Iditarod Champion Mitch Seavey and his family.) and experience Ididaride's 1.5 hour Wilderness Dog Sled Ride and Tour. At the end of this fun-filled day, your driver will return you to your hotel, cruise ship or the Alaska Railroad depot. All local transportation and lunch are included in this package.

Tour runs from 11:05 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily
Adult: $129.00
Child: $79.00

I have personally enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it. It is a truly unique Alaskan experience.
